About the TASER C2

Overview

The TASER C2 is TASER International, Inc.'s newest product designed for personal protection. Utilizing the same technology as their proven law enforcement models, the C2 has incredible take down power.

The TASER C2 is a self-defense electronic control device. Electronic Control Devices (ECDs) use propelled wires or direct contact to conduct energy to affect the sensory and motor functions of the nervous system. The TASER C2 uses a replaceable cartridge, containing compressed nitrogen, to deploy two small probes that are attached to the TASER C2 by insulated conductive wires with a maximum length of 15 feet (4.5 meters). The TASER C2 transmits electrical pulses along the wires and into the body affecting the sensory and motor functions of the peripheral nervous system. The energy can penetrate up to two cumulative inches of clothing.

Neuromuscular Incapacitation (NMI)
	The key technology to disable even the most aggressive subjects, NMI temporarily overrides the command and control systems of the body to impair muscular control.
Shaped Pulse^TM Technology
	A sophisticated pulse wave that utilizes a high voltage leading edge to penetrate barriers such as clothing around the body followed by a lower voltage stimulation pulse to cause neuromuscular incapacitation.
C2 Cartridge
	A replaceable module that allows for the engagement of targets at ranges up to 15 feet (4.5 meters). Integrates a nitrogen propulsion system, high voltage insulated TASER wire, bi-metal probes, and AFID serialization optimized for the TASER C2.
Anti-Felon Identification (AFID)
	A system to deter misuse through enhanced accountability, AFID includes bar-coded serialization of each cartridge and disperses confetti-like ID tags upon activation.
Laser Integration
	TASER microprocessor controls laser illumination synchronous with safety switch operation.
Lithium Power Magazine (LPM)
	Integrated power source with lithium battery cells and solid state memory module for tracking power consumption, power levels remaining, and allows for software updates to be distributed via battery replacement.
CheckLok^TM
	Next generation background check technology ensures full compliance with user identification and screening. Ships in a locked state, can only be unlocked with activation code received upon successful registration and background check approval.
